Make Sure You Bring Your Towel

Also, don’t panic. And the answer, of course, is 42. And thanks for all the fish.

This is a scary time. There are so many unknowns. To whom do we listen? Which expert is the one who has the right information. What does it all mean. I don’t have all the answers. I know I am trying to be careful. I don’t know if it is enough. I know it is hard to be alone. I know that life is sometimes hard. I also know that I can do hard things. I get up and do what needs to be done, sometimes even when I don’t want to.

I want my sons to be safe. I want to make sure I am available to make chicken soup or buttermilk biscuits or cookies, or whatever else they want. I want to stop talking to myself, and even more than that I want to stop answering myself back.

We can only do what we can do. I am wearing a mask. I am washing my hands. I am taking care to protect myself and other people, as best I can.

Grab your towel and your guide to the galaxy. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.'

Lord have mercy.
