October

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.

George Eliot

I love this month. I love the season of Autumn, and even though this is a moving target in Texas, I do relish the cool mornings, the clearer, less humid air, the opportunity to wear my Halloween shirts…hey! I used to teach Elementary school…of course I have one for every day in October…PLUS it is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so I have some pink to wear, too.

Someday I would like to do a train ride that winds through forests where the leaves change colors…a hike through the same would also be lovely.

There is a restlessness in my blood that emerges during this month. I sometime feel like it is an effort to stay connected to the ground. I wonder why that is.

I left my broom at home.
