Pasghetti
So, part of this “protocol” my mom and I are doing involves slowly re-introducing healthy, whole grain foods back into an otherwise low-carb vibe. I have dutifully spiralized my zucchini and yellow squash and pretended that it was as good as pasta, but let’s be clear…it isn’t.
I am not complaining…I am feeling pretty good, I’ve dropped a few pounds, my skin looks fresher…deep down I know it is all worth it. I have to actively NOT think about things like pizza and baked potatoes and rice. This doesn’t have to be for always, but I must be eyes-open about what I eat. I can’t eat a sleeve of Oreo Double-Stuffs without being mindful of the…literal…END result.
This weekend, while visiting my brother and sister-in-love, they both commented on how I looked. I thanked them and shared the next goal…I would like for there to be a clear distinction between ASS and THIGH…not just the slope that it has been for years. We’re getting there. I will resume my workout regimen tomorrow and do better about planning meals.
But for tonight I have some whole wheat, ancient grain pasta and my home-made spaghetti sauce for dinner.
I can’t hardly wait.
