“That Wasn’t Terrible”

Kind words do not cost much. Yet they accomplish much.

Blaise Pascal

Today’s youth. It is important to remember when conversing with a sixteen-year-old that they don’t really understand how powerful words are. I mean, how can they when they don’t know how to use them…UR and Gr8 aren’t even words…SMH…so, if you should encounter such a one who is not glued to a screen, and they actually interact with you at ALL…that is huge. Also, if you were to say, ask how an assignment was and they pause (even a little…this means they are contemplating the question…or possibly that they have gas), and then say “It didn’t suck” or “That wasn’t terrible”, it might actually be high praise. Take it with both hands.

Seriously. Take it.
