Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup Crisco shortening

1/3 cup margarine

1 cup sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

3 cups flour

2 cups chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375®.

Using a mixer, blend the shortening and margarine until smooth. Add the sugars and mix well. Add the eggs and mix until well-blended. Add the soda and salt and mix until incorporated. Add the flour and mix well. With a wooden spoon, fold the chocolate chips into the dough.

Using two spoons or an ice cream scoop, drop spoonfuls of dough about an inch apart onto a cookie sheet spread with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking spray. Bake for 13 minutes.
