Cornbread

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup cornmeal

2/3 cup sugar

3 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 egg**

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 cup milk

**For vegan cornbread substitute 1/4 cup applesauce.

Preheat oven to 400®. Grease a square pan or 12 muffin tins (or use muffin liners). Mix all the ingredients together and pour into pan. Cook for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
