Mac & Cheese -Robles Mix

8 ounces of pasta (I like to use penne)

3 TBL butter

2 TBL flour

2 cups milk

1 can cream of onion soup (this can be hard to find sometimes, you can also use cream of chicken, mushroom, etc.)

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 cup shredded cheese (I use cheddar, but any kind works)

1/2 plain bread crumbs

2 tsp olive oil

In a saucepan, melt butter. Add flour and stir to form a paste. Add soup and milk…stir and allow to simmer over low heat until bubbly. Mix in half the cheese until melted. Put the uncooked pasta in a baking dish and pour the sauce over the top. Sprinkle remaining cheese on the top. In a small bowl mix the bread crumbs and olive oil. Sprinkle over the top layer of cheese.

Bake at 350® for 35 minutes.

**You can also make this in a crockpot. Put uncooked pasta in the pot, cover with sauce, and extra layer of cheese. I don’t use bread crumbs for this because they get soggy…yuck! Cook on HIGH heat for an hour and then check the doneness of the pasta. You can also cook it on LOW heat for a bit longer.
