Gunner the Wonder Dog

So, the magical stray that adopted us saw the vet. We scheduled his surgery…YOU know…the one designed to change his religion…for December (it was the first opportunity). They called Monday with a cancellation for yesterday…it was a bit of a mad scramble, but we got him there and he came home yesterday, high as a kite…I mean…seeing music and hearing colors. Today finds him as perky as can be expected while wearing the cone of shame.

He is just such a cute dog…I am starting to have trouble remembering what it was like before he joined our Pack.

…and for those of you contemplating a pet/human interface…be mindful that having a pet is much like having a child. They depend on you for everything…in sickness and health…make sure you are up for the care before you take on the responsibility…it’s messy…it’s sometimes smelly…you will laugh and cry over the antics…especially if you bring home a dog. It is so worth it to have that creature look at you they way they do.

True love.
